Our 25 years of experience in the fashion jewelry and accessories industry have allowed us to master a wide range of techniques and different materials.
Ateliers Tamalet is specialized in metal work. Each piece of jewelry is unique and requires the right metal.

Brass: We love to work with recycled brass for its low melting point and strength making it ideal for casting into lots of different shapes. We plate our brass in varying thicknesses of gold according to our clients’ needs. Whatever the plating thickness we always add a thin layer of e-coating to ensure our jewelry is long lasting.

Stainless steel: We use stainless steel for its durability and unique appearance, which makes it the perfect cutting edge for statement pieces.

Sterling silver: We also work with sterling silver for delicate elevated styles.

WAX AND MOLD MAKING
The next step is to create a replica of the piece in wax that we will then use to make the mold.

3 types of Molds can be used depending on your project: Silicone, rubber and Metal.
CASTING
Casting is the process of melting, and injecting the metal into the lost wax cavities.
CLEANING
Cleaning of the metal is one of the most important steps. Our jewelers take care to make the metal perfect, removing any sprues and preparing it for the finishing phase.
POLISHING
This is a key step to give your jewelry a nice smooth finish according to your vision.
Thanks to our skilled hand-polishers, we are able to offer a large choice of options such as Light buff, Buff, Satin (Matte) polished, and High (Shiny) polished.

ELECTROPLATING
Electroplating uses an electric current to add a layer of precious metal on the pieces, which may be gold (with your choice of karat), rose gold plating, rhodium (regular white or black rhodium), or silver plating.
E-COATING
In a process similar to Electroplating, an electric current forces Microns of nano-ceramic particles to form a layer of transparency on top of the metal. This protection will prevent your jewelry from scratching and tarnishing.
QUALITY CONTROL
We perform a strict internal inspection process
In-line inspection is done on 100% all incoming raw materials
Final inspection is done according strict criteria and testing.
We are proud to have developed a great expertise in enamel and lacquer work. These techniques add vibrant colors and designs to plain brass and zamak styles. We have also mastered a technique called watertransfer that entails placing a sticker on the metal base and covering with a transparent layer of glossy resin. Our expertise in these techniques is widely recognized in the Fashion industry.
Our talented designers in Paris love experimenting with different textures and materials to create mixed media creations. We play around with a wide range of materials from beads, threads and natural fibers to feathers, pearls and cords ideal for adapting to different vibes: bohemian chic, preppy, arty, fun and glam.
Our team of Parisian designers anticipate trends and accordingly work on new styles every month to add to our Tamalet collection. Our Paris design team is made up of protoypists and 3D designers who work hand in hand to develop the Tamalet Collection.
Our designers love playing around with different materials and textures. We love discovering new techniques, learning about new materials and re-thinking jewelry conception in order to make it more sustainable. Recently, we experimented with a new collection of raw non plated brass.
